jQuery A question to all

A question to all

posted on 2nd December 2010

So over the next week or so I want to put together  a little jQuery article / tutorial for everyone to read. The question is, what are you all struggling with in jQuery, or would you like me to do a step by step tutorial on how to make a certain kind of image slider?

Let me know your thoughts by simply leaving me a comment below or emailing me through my contact page.

Looking around online at all the jQuery stuff out there I am just wondering if you have any ideas about some other uses for jQuery that others may be overlooking? What I mean is that most of the tutorials I see are on Navigation or Image sliders and what have you.

Maybe if you could look into some more subtle uses of jQuery that will make your site pop just a little bit more?

I LOVE the image slider and its transition effects you did for nordkapp.fi (under the “our work” section). I have tried to work it out but to no avail. What makes this slider unique in my view is how it slides on to the next item in the list without having to close the overlay, and click on the next image. In addition, the in-transition that occurs when clicking a thumbnail (sliding up of thumbnails, and the appearance of the overlay), and of course the out-transition as well.

A tutorial on how to do this would be appreciated :)
